Dear Friend -

Paul said in Philippians 4: 10 that he had learned the secret of being content in any and every situation… whether well fed or hungry whether living in plenty or in want. In good times and in bad times…

​

Contentment is a calm and satisfied feeling. Contenment is not an escape from the battle, but a knowing in your spirit that because God is in control, everything is going to be all right.

​

You can have a great life and yet there be a little thing that disturbs you. If you think about it, if you ruminate on what is wrong… it becomes the focus of your life.

​

If 90 percent of your life is good and 10 percent is not and then you begin to think on the ten percent… what you think about is what overtakes you. So the 10 percent them becomes the 90. Whatever a man thinketh, so is he.

Make a decision to live in the 90 and not in the 10. Give the 10 or 20 percent of what is not good to God. Let Him have what you are discontented with.

Discontentment will destroy you. It will rob you of your marriage, your ministry, your health, your money and your emotional stability.

​

Today let God have what you cannot understand. Cast all of your care upon Him, for He careth for you. Rejoice in the 90. Rejoice in what He has done. As you do that the problems will become less and He will become greater in you.

​

Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face and the things of earth will grow strangely dim. In the light of His glory and grace.
